Dubrovnik city is an important passenger port and one of the most visited tourist places on the Croatian Adriatic. It is one of the most valuable sights in Southeast Europe; Dubrovnik was therefore included in the list of global UNESCO cultural heritage already in 1979. For its very favourable climate and sheltered location, Dubrovnik is often visited as both summer and winter seaside spa. Its climate is characterized by long dry hot summers and mild winters. There is a high number of sunshine hours – 2554 hours per year. It is exclusive also with its rich vegetation of parks, gardens and public spaces. Flora is Mediterranean and subtropical.
